Moving on to Fort A.P. Hill
Setting up our campsite was quite a chore in the hot afternoon sun so, the first things set up were the car ports for shade.

Arts & Science Expos had many items on exhibit.
The Merit Badge Midway offered over 100 merit badge counselors.
The "Hometown News" tent; the front of the Merit Badge Midway; and exhibits opened to the public.
Archery and a BMX raceway were set up in all the "Action Centers".
The large arena area was about 1½ miles from our campsite. The first show was cancelled because of the high heat & humidity.
Our Subcamp 3 held about 2000 scouts and scouters.
Sailing was offered on the Fort's lake and Scuba Diving was offered in a large pool built for the Jamboree.
