Our Philmont Trip

Part 1 - Colorado Springs

Our guys in the plane leaving LaGuardia Airport checking on the emergency exits.

First stop in Colorado Springs was the Ghost Town Museum, an indoor re-creation of Old West Street scene.

Then, it was onto the Arcade Amusements in the quaint town of Manitou Springs.

Next, we travelled to the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center and Park.

On to the Flying W Ranch for a chuckwagon dinner and Rangler Show!

On Sunday morning, July 4th, we took the Manitou Cog Railway to the top of Pike's Peak.

Then, we took off to Canon City and the Royal Gorge Bridge Park, where some of the Scouts flew their Skycoaster!

 

Then, we drove back to Memorial Park in Colorado Springs to see the 4th of July Fireworks!

Next stop... the Philmont Scout Ranch.
